Developed from the model 75 for the Fox and Nicholls dealership, the racing cars (PL2, PL3 and PL4) could average 103mph on the Brooklands circuit. A period Motorsport test described the vehicle as “a high speed car with exceptional flexibility and silence”.

Full refurbishment started in 2000 and was finally completed 5 years later in 2005. Since then, the car has proven to be reliable and competent with over 35,000 without trouble. Many Club and solo trips at home and abroad have been enjoyed to England, Wales France, Belgium, Holland, Andorra, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. It has sailed over many Alpine passes and all the Pyrenees. Recently, the car has had a full overhaul, including an engine rebuild, so it should be good for a further 35,000 miles! By the way, it cost the current owner more than the new price of £635, to fill the tank recently cost £125! But I think it does about 20mpg!
