6 cylinder ohv engine, 61 x 95mm 1666 cc. Coil ignition, twin spark. Smiths 5 jet carburettor. 4 speed manual gearbox. Coachwork by Darracq, 2 seat with double dickey. Model history The 14/45 was the first chassis designed by top engineer, Georges Roesch, this type lasted from 1926 to 1932. Only 5 of this particular model were built. IO 3184 This 2 seater was built in October 1929, sold through Warwick Wright to an unknown person in Kildare, Ireland in March 1930. My brother Michael and I found the car in SH Richardson’s scrapyard in 1958. It cost me £30 and was towed home by my brother’s Morris Minor. I rebuilt it and passed my driving test in it in 1963. I sold the car for £150 in 1965 to fund a house purchase, but was able to trace it and buy it back from Holland in 2005. The car is used most weekends and is a great tribute to the wonderful Georges Roesch.
